How it proceeds
Five steps, from consultation to a one-week check

STEP 1 · Consultation and pre-procedure preparation
We check volume loss, left-right balance and skin condition, then decide the scope and method. You sign a consent form; tell us in advance about drug allergies such as to antibiotics or painkillers, current medications, or past surgery or anesthesia issues.

STEP 2 · Fat harvesting
Fat is harvested from the back of the waist or outer thighs, minding the contour and balance of that area.

STEP 3 · Fat processing and facial fat grafting
Microfat and SVF are prepared and injected in stages across the face. About 30 min · sedation.

STEP 4 · Recovery — SR lymphatic circulation care
On the day, SR lymphatic care is given to the face and harvest area at no extra cost. Recovery takes about 1~3 days; do not press or massage the grafted areas, and avoid heavy drinking, smoking, saunas and strenuous exercise as directed. Take prescribed medication as directed.

STEP 5 · Follow-up check after 1 week
About a week later we check your recovery and remove any staples. If you have unusual symptoms such as severe pain, excessive swelling or heat, let the medical staff know.

01 How long does the procedure take?
It is generally based on about 30 minutes, but may vary depending on the extent of fat harvesting and the fat grafting areas.
02 What kind of anesthesia is used?
The procedure is performed under sedation anesthesia. Before anesthesia, we check your health condition and whether you are taking any medication.
03 Where is the fat harvested from?
Fat is mainly harvested from areas such as the back of the waist or the outer thighs. We check the patient's fat distribution and body type to determine the appropriate harvest area.
04 How long is the recovery period?
Typical initial recovery is described as about 1~3 days, but swelling, bruising and the speed of recovery vary by individual.
05 How many sessions do I need?
At Seoul Cheongdam Dr. Anapa Clinic, depending on the treatment method and the patient's condition, microfat + SVF fat grafting can be planned over around 2 sessions and standard fat grafting over around 5 sessions. Five sessions are not always necessary; the actual number is decided by the initial hollowing and the change after each session.
06 Is there any separate care on the day of the procedure?
Yes. On the day of fat grafting, SR lymphatic circulation care is provided to the face and the fat harvest area to help manage recovery from swelling and bruising.
07 When are the staples removed?
If staples were used at the fat harvest area or elsewhere, you generally visit about 1 week later so we can check the condition and remove them.
08 Can I have the procedure if I have a drug allergy?
This needs to be checked depending on the type of allergy. In particular, if you have an allergy to antibiotics, painkillers or other drugs, you must inform the medical staff before the procedure.
09 What are the cost and refund terms for fat grafting?
Each session is KRW 1.1 million (VAT excluded) and includes liposuction, sedation, fat storage and grafting. Up to 5 sessions; prepaying for 5 sessions is KRW 3.5 million (VAT excluded). Additional grafts after the fifth session are KRW 1.1 million each (VAT excluded). If you request a refund after prepaying, we refund the balance after deducting KRW 1.1 million (plus VAT) for each session already performed.
